Connected platform for the operational and commercial traceability of the supplier
A portal of information connected to the API of a well-known national supermarket was developed, designed to provide a food supplier with a comprehensive and real-time view of the sale and distribution of their products. This solution enables the knowledge of which items are sold, in which stores, and through which logistical means they are transported, in addition to offering a detailed history that facilitates trend analysis and operational planning.
Challenge
The supplier needed to have accurate and up-to-date information about the behavior of their products at different points of sale. Until now, traceability depended on external reports and manual processes, which made it difficult to make quick decisions and optimize logistical flow. A system was needed to consolidate sales and distribution data onto a single platform, easy to consult and capable of constant updates.
Solution
A digital portal was designed and implemented that centralizes all information coming from the supermarket API, transforming data into useful knowledge for the business. The platform offers the supplier a complete view of the life cycle of each product: from its departure from the warehouse to its final sale.
The system allows visualization of where each reference is sold, in what quantity and with what frequency, as well as identifying the type of transport used (such as pallet trucks or other logistical means).
Thanks to the integrated histories and metrics, the supplier can detect demand patterns, anticipate stock needs, and adjust production based on the real behavior of the market.
This solution has enabled the company to evolve towards a data-driven management model, where transparency and traceability become key tools to improve efficiency, strengthen the relationship with the distributor, and make decisions based on solid information.
